While Celeste is a licensed architect, her projects are enhanced by her natural interior design abilities. She has received a national lighting design award for her work on a private residence. Her own home has been featured on the television show Before and After as well as in The Oregonian.

Formerly built by the owner of the View-Master toy factory (later Mattel), this house is a gem of mid-century architecture. When I first toured the home, I was drawn to its low-slung pitch, many large expanses of glazing (over 6'x6') and the view to the east with five enormous windows, faceted, like a View-Master card. From those windows and the entire east side of the home, one has a clear view of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, the Willamette River, and the Portland downtown skyline. (Read More)

These stairs, from a recently completed residential remodel, were featured in the "Smart Spaces" column of Sunset Magazine's February 2002 issue. Sunset noted that the new stairs were a "novel and artful way to combine practical storage, display space, and a sculptural stair railing."
